For six years Dublin Partners in Education has offered the Summer STEM Academy at Dublin High School. This rigorous and accelerated program affords students the opportunity to take higher level classes or non-academic electives such as performing arts, during the school year. This summer over 1,000 students are participating in the Summer STEM Academy.
OneDublin.org’s features writer, Michael Utsumi, interviewed STEM Academy Principal, Lenni Velez, as well as student Brian Anderson to spotlight this year’s program. Brian is an incoming Dublin High School Senior who runs cross country and is an active Boy Scout. This is his second year participating in the summer program.
I would absolutely recommend this to any student interested in pursuing education during the summer, whether it be for advancing your education or meeting graduation requirements.Brian Anderson
