Fireworks Booth

Fireworks Booth 2021 - DPIE, Rotary, DUSD Middle School Music

This year, DPIE and Dublin Rotary have partnered with the music programs at Cottonwood Creek, Fallon and Wells to raise funds to purchase needed music equipment for each school’s program. Not only will you get a little bang for your buck, but you’ll have a chance to visit some of the music boosters from each school and maybe even get a chance to speak to your favorite music teacher while you’re there.

“I’m very excited that we are partnering with the middle school music programs.  The benefits of music education are immense and highly beneficial to students. Music positively impacts a child’s academic performance, assists in developing social skills and provides an outlet for a child’s development. Music education catapults a child’s learning to new heights and we are happy to help these schools raise funds so they can enhance their programs.” said DPIE Board President, Sobia Qureshi.

Middle School Music Programs are Growing

The band instructors from each of the Dublin School District three middle schools indicated the rapid growth in the school district has presented them with challenges. They shared long list of needs to support the growing number of students enrolling in music courses including new instruments, music and equipment like tuners, stands, teaching tools and software, and funds to help pay the cost of entry fees to competitions and transportation to festivals.

Mr. Nicholas Garcia – “Fallon Middle School’s Music department is growing rapidly. Next year we are adding Percussion Ensemble to the band program and we are excited for the return of the Fallon Chorus! I firmly believe our Fallon Music students deserve the best the music education has to offer. This fundraiser will help that belief to come tangible.”

Mr. Jasper Tran – The Cottonwood Creek Music Department is excited to partner with DPIE and Dublin Rotary to raise funds for our students. As a K-8 school, we aim to use these funds for all of our music programs. Hope to see many parents both volunteering in the booths and buying fireworks to support all three middle school music programs.”

Mr Erik Berteleson – “The Wells Band is grateful for the continued support for our young musicians by DPIE and Dublin Rotary. Collaborating with these two organizations gives our Middle School students an opportunity to enhance their musical journey by participating in band reviews, parades, and Disneyland performances. Thank you to DPIE and Dublin Rotary for making a positive impact in the Dublin community.”

Rotary President and School Board Vice President, Megan Rouse summed up her enthusiasm for this partnership this way.  As a member of the Dublin Rotary Club as well as the DUSD School Board, I am proud to be a part of this annual collaborative effort.  Not only are we working together in partnership to raise funds for multiple worthy causes, we are also working alongside each other in fellowship to foster and strengthen our relationships with each other.

Two Booths to Choose From

In addition to the DPIE booth in front of Marshalls, the Rotary booth will be in the vacant lot across from Safeway on Tassajara Rd. This makes shopping for your celebration supplies and supporting your middle school’s music program even easier. We encourage all families to shop early this year since the pandemic has caused delays in overseas shipments and supplies of the firework you’ve been waiting to purchase for the last year may be limited.  So shop early and avoid the rush and make sure to get the fireworks that will put a little extra bang in your neighborhood festivities.

Support Dublin’s young musicians by purchasing your 4th of July fireworks at the DPIE Booth in front of Marshalls or the Rotary booth on Tassajara this year.
