DPIE and UCEazy Partnership - Essay Writing Bootcamp

UC Personal Interest Question (PIQ) Writing Program

This course is designed to help students who want to gain admission to a University in the University of California System and is geared to helping seniors complete the four required UC admissions essays based on personal insight questions (PIQs). Choosing from eight prompts, every student who applies to a UC school must write four essays. UCEazy’s instructors work with students to select questions that are most relevant to their experience and that best reflect their individual circumstances.

UCEazy instructors understand the expectations for these essays and will guide students through the process of picking the writing prompts that best allow them to tell their story. Students in this course will develop their essays during the eight-week program with feedback and support from their instructor. Students who work diligently will finish the course having completed the four written essays required for admission to a UC school.

The course will begin with one whole group, online class led by, Jennifer Brookover, UCEazy’s Director of the College Essay Writing Program, then over the next eight weeks students will meet 1 on 1 with one of UCEazy’s admissions and writing experts via video conference as they work through the process of constructing their essays.

What are the benefits of this course?

  • Personalized program featuring 1 on 1 coaching by experts.
  • Guided practice with essay writing techniques.
  • Increased student confidence in their essay writing abilities.
  • Completed college essays ready to send out with a student’s college application that helps set themselves apart from other applicants.
  • See the Camp Program Coaches.

Common App Essay Writing Program

This course was created to assist the student who is applying to one of, what is considered to be, the top 30 schools in the country and help students complete the Common Application Writing Essay required at most private and Ivy League Universities.  If a student is planning to attend Brown, Princeton, Georgetown, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Duke, etc., this essay writing course was created for them. The college essay is a student’s opportunity to show admissions officers who they are apart from their grades and test scores and to distinguish themselves from the rest of what is likely to be a very talented applicant pool.
