Science teacher, Kim Baumann, left Dublin High School in 2012 when she moved to Tennessee to be closer to family. She resumed her teaching career in Tennessee, providing the same extraordinary experience she brought to her classroom at Dublin High which made her loved by all her students. Her passion for chemistry and her connection to her students led to her selection as a state-level finalist in Tennessee for the 2016-2017 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science. State-level finalists are submitted for the national selection process for which awards are given to up to two mathematics and science teachers from each state. Ms. Baumann teaches AP Chemistry and BCA Chemistry along with advising senior capstone projects. DPIE is thrilled to have her back in Dublin for the summer and teaching Honors Chemistry to our STEM Academy students.
